Our Window Wanderland Peacock

In Architecture, Business, Listed Building, News, Salisbury

Passers-by our Salisbury office in the last couple of days might have spotted something different! We love our new peacock, part of Salisbury’s first Window Wanderland.

Local artist Michele Millidge designed and created the peacock, one of a trail of decorated windows across Salisbury. The window will be lit up at night from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th November. Salisbury BID, with Wiltshire Creative and Salisbury City Council, set up the trail to coincide with the Diwali Festival of Lights. This symbolises happiness and positivity and inspired the theme of the display. Residents, businesses, local community groups and artists across Salisbury have decorated the windows.

RBA are really excited to be involved in this new initiative. We’ll be going out this weekend to see all the other windows around Salisbury. We might be biased, but we don’t think any will be as spectacular as ours – we’d quite like to keep him up permanently!

Maps of the trail are available from Salisbury Information, Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury Library, HSBC, or the Experience Salisbury website.
