A New Home for the Peacock!

In Architecture, Business, Listed Building, News, Salisbury, Team

In November 2021, RBA participated in Salisbury Business BID’s ‘Window Wanderland’, a city-wide street celebration of the Diwali Festival of Light.

Local artist Michele Millidge created this stunning peacock that was displayed in our Milford Street office window during the event. We liked it so much that we asked if we could keep it! Michele consulted with Wiltshire Creative, who set up the trail with Salisbury BID. They suggested we make donations to Wiltshire Creative and Child Link International, a charity Michele supports that works with children in India and Nepal. We duly did so and the peacock was ours! It has now been framed and hung where it is still clearly visible from the street. It has been lovely to see passers-by noticing the peacock. We now need to find a name for him – please send us your suggestions! Many thanks to Michele for creating the artwork, and to Salisbury BID for setting up the trail.

See our original news story and pictures of the peacock in our window here.
