Team visit to Mill house

The RBA team took some time out of the office last week to visit an idyllic private working watermill in Wiltshire. The mill has been carefully brought back to life over the last 30 years and now is in full working order.

The owner couldn’t have been more helpful in advising us on one of our current projects that also involves the restoration of an old mill house. We were shown how the water is diverted from the millstream and the mill wheels set into action to grind some grain on the large mill stones, and came away with plenty of ideas for incorporating the mill wheels into the main building of our own project – noise reduction is going to be a factor…
