Listed Planning Permission

 In Architecture, Jobs, Team

Some good news in the planning department recently with listed planning permission received for one of our projects in Somerset.

After a lengthy planning process, the RBA team are delighted that Mendip Council granted planning permission and listed building consent for alterations to this Grade II listed house near Shepton Mallet.

The changes include the demolition of an existing rear porch and conservatory and creation of a new clay tile porch. The plans replace the existing gutters with Heritage Style Metal and include repointing of all stonework.  Double glazed, painted, timber windows will replace existing windows, with traditional timber lintels instead of the current steel lintels. There will also be changes to existing windows and doors. On the ground floor, removal of some internal walls will create a larger laundry room and an open hallway. An upstairs reconfiguration provides two ensuite bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Fi Boyle has designed a landscape plan that provides a new terrace and replacement greenhouse. Her design also includes amendments to the patio, garden wall and steps to the south of the house.
