James Bell is the founding director of Richmond Bell Architects Ltd. which was incorporated in 2008.  He has extensive experience in the residential sector working in collaboration with private clients, developers and local authorities.

James studied Architecture at The University of Edinburgh and the Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands.  Prior to setting up RBAL, James worked at a number of award winning architectural practices, including Quad Architects, Devereux Architects and Fisher Associates. During his time at Quad, James also become involved with development projects and oversaw the procurement of Bambu Apartments as both Project Architect and as SPV Development Partner.
