Scope of policy

To carry out our work we may collect, use and/or disclose certain personal information about our clients.  To carry out our primary work of design we may need to know financial circumstances and collect information from other third parties with regards to planning and consultees.  We may need to retain personal information for a period of time to ensure we are accountable to external regulatory bodies.  However, we do not keep personal information for any longer than necessary.

We need to keep our client files for a minimum of 6 years.

 

What we collect?

We may collect the following information:

Your name
Your contact information including email address
Demographic information such as your postcode

Neighbourhood information
Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

We use this information to invoice clients for our services and send clients details of our services or rarely, specific events that may be of interest.

We do not have any control over some of this information we collect and keep, due to external regulations within the industry.

Staff

Our primary purpose of collecting information from staff is for HR and accountancy purposes.  We may collect name and contact details, bank details and Tax/NI details.  We also hold Next of Kin contact details for use in an emergency.

Contractors and Suppliers

We collect information from our contractors and suppliers in order for us to assist in making decisions for our current and future projects.  We may share this information in a reciprocal way with other contractors and suppliers.

 

What do we do with the information we gather?
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

For business and accountancy purposes

Website Analytics

We record the pages you visit on our website using Google Analytics. The data is used by our website developers to track and analyse traffic and improve the visitor experience.

Google Analytics records data such as geographic locations, internet browser, and device through the use of cookies. None of these personally identifies you to us. Google Analytics does collect IP addresses, but they are not disclosed to us and you are therefore untraceable. Disabling cookies in your internet browser will stop Google analytics from tracking your visit.  However, this may affect the functionality of our website.
