Project Architect wanted

Are you a talented, motivated and experienced Project Architect, looking for a new challenge? We are looking for someone to join the team in our central Salisbury office.

Our projects vary in scale, from high-end residential projects across the South-West to large commercial projects in London, and include both listed and contemporary buildings. As a practice, we have a growing interest in sustainable architecture. You will be working as part of a small, dynamic and friendly team, and will be expected to show initiative in undertaking tasks, as well as the ability to communicate and share ideas.

Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for running your own projects across RIBA stages 0-7. This will include:

  • Preparing designs and submitting them for planning permission.
  • Producing comprehensive detailed working drawings and designs.
  • Preparing tender packages.
  • Carrying out site inspections.
  • Working alone and within a small team.
  • Keeping the project on track with deadlines.
  • Briefing and working alongside Architectural Technicians and Assistants.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be Part III Qualified and ARB Registered.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years UK experience as a Project Architect, working across all RIBA stages.
  • Have a strong design portfolio.
  • Demonstrate experience working on Listed Buildings, new builds and contemporary buildings.
  • Be capable of running your own projects.
  • Be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; familiarity with Vectorworks or Revit is desirable.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of different construction types and sustainable technologies.
  • Have a solid understanding of the UK Building Regulations and CDM Regulations.


Salary: dependent on experience.

Contract: Permanent, full time.
