Richmond Bell Architects are excited to have gained planning permission for the conversion of a shop on Milford Street, Salisbury, into our new office.
Wiltshire Council granted permission for the conversion of the Grade 2 listed building, previously used as a betting shop. They also approved the internal fit out and modernisation needed to make it suitable for office use.
Work will start on the internal renovations next week. The office will include a studio work area, meeting room, small kitchen and a bathroom. The internal finish will be to a high standard to exhibit a level of detail that clients can aspire to. The design adopts biophilic principles – using natural materials to create a positive and effective working environment. The finishing materials will include wood, light coloured paints, green plantings and glass to reflect light back into the deep space.
RBA Director James Bell said, “We’ve been designing houses in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset for over ten years. I’m delighted to be moving into our new offices in the centre of Salisbury, where we can showcase some of our skills, projects and favourite products.’
We hope to move into the new office at the start of May. Watch this space or follow us on Instagram for details of how the renovation is coming along.
